Happiness looks different for everyone. For you, maybe it’s being at peace with who you are. For someone, it is having a secure group of friends who accept and love you unconditionally. For another, happiness is the freedom to pursue their deepest desires. So, just know that everyone’s version of happiness is a little different, and so is their path to achieving it.
Happiness is a great goal to have, and it’s something you’ll need to work towards everyday. Being happy isn’t something you can catch and then hold onto. Happiness is an inside job. It is a series of decisions that you make everyday. So start by cultivating positivity in life and living your life in a way you feel is right for you.
Also, spend time with the right people, people that make you feel good. If someone makes you happy, make them happy too. Connect with yourself, and support a healthy body and mind. Learn to be appreciative of yourself and others.

When you notice you are beginning to think negative thoughts, it’s important you change it immediately to positive thoughts. You can do this by thinking about things that make you happy and things you are grateful for. You can also say some positive affirmations to yourself, to remind yourself who you are and what you can do.
Live according to your values
Living according to your values is another way of becoming happy. This is because you can’t be happy if you ignore your core beliefs and do things that makes you feel distressed or conflicted. So discovering your personal values is important if you want to be happy.
Figure out what your core values are, what you believe in, what you believe is right. And live by those values. Make sure to not compromise your values for anything. Because it will be difficult to be genuinely happy if you are doing something that feels wrong to you.
Also, listing things that are important to you helps you to live your life accordingly. So make a list of things that are important to you and try and make sure they are in line with your core values.
Improve on your weakness
Another way you can be happy with your life is to be able to improve on your weakness. Everyone has a weakness. When it comes to weaknesses, accept what you can not change and work on the ones that can be changed.

Learning a new skill is one way to improve on your weakness. For example; you might be unhappy with your health and to improve on yourself, you must start with workout programs that will help you to stay fit and healthy.

Music is a very powerful thing. Music can have an immediate effect on your emotions. Listen to inspirational songs and you instantly feel like you can do anything. Listen to a sad song, and you instantly feel depressed. Listen to a cheerful song and it’s like magic- instant feeling of joy.

So if you want to be happy, you have to listen to music that makes you happy. Music keeps us active and also makes us feel inspired. Music helps to release stress and anxiety in our daily lives.
Listening to soothing music also helps you to be to ignore negativity in your life and keep you positive always. For example; listening to music helps to relief stress levels and make us proactive always.
Go for a stroll
Going for a stroll is one way to be lightweight and happy, especially when you’ve been indoors all day. Go for a stroll. It helps to reduce stress and improve your health physically, emotionally and mentally.
Step outside. Feel the outside breeze. Feel the sun on your skin (remember to put on sunscreen when going for an afternoon stroll) Refresh your mind whiles you have a walk through the park. This is a very healthy lifestyle to adopt because walking is a great and simple form of exercise.
Find your passion and work towards it
Is there something you have always wanted to do but you always end up putting it off? Are you living your life the way you want to? Or you are living according to someone else’s plan? What is your passion? What do you want to do? What excites you? Figure out what your passion is and work towards it.
Passion is energy. Feel the power that comes from focusing on what excites you.

When you’re alone, you don’t have to consider other people’s plans, all you have to do is to choose something that you are passionate about. You should keep in mind that there is no harm in finding your passion and also working towards it. If you want to be happy, then pursue your passion.
