But drinking water isn’t the only way to stay hydrated, you can also add some iced tea to your methods of staying hydrated on hot day.
The ice isn’t just refreshing it will help you stay cool and tea is very rich in antioxidants, so including tea in your diet is very beneficial for your body.
To add some flavor to your iced tea, you can include certain fruits like lemons and lime.
Lemon iced tea recipe
Ingredients
- 1 L of water
- 3 black tea bags
- 2 large lemons
- 1 lime
- 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1 cup of sugar
- Mint leaves for garnishing
Directions
To make your lemon iced tea, bring 1 liter of water to a boil. Pour the boiling water into a heat-proof pitcher. Add your tea bags and let them steep for about 10 minutes.
Whiles waiting, wash and slice your lemons and your lime.
After that, remove the tea bags and stir in your sugar. Now add in your lemon juice and stir again.
You can add more sugar or reduce the sugar depending on how sweet you want your tea.
Now add in your lime and lemon slices and let it sit in the fridge for like an hour to chill. You can even leave it in the fridge overnight.
Serving
Pour some ice cubes into a glass and add lemon and lime slices. Pour the tea over the ice and lemon and lime slices to serve. Garnish with mint leaves.
